2026 is shaping up to be a year of profound change and new challenges. Some of them are life-changing, placing me in unfamiliar territory, filled with uncertainty, but also with curiosity and motivation. One of the biggest news is that I’m becoming a mother.
For some of you, this may not come as a surprise. Over the past months, it has been hard to miss how much my babies have grown... yes, babies! We’re welcoming two ;)
Becoming a mother of twins while continuing my artistic practice feels like a combination worth making visible and sharing with those who wish to be part of these monthly letters. A way of staying close, beyond a simple and impersonal list of upcoming exhibitions (which I will, of course, also share here).
On a professional level, 2026 is equally full of opportunities. Thank you, sincerely, to all of you for continuing to trust my work during this moment of transition.

This moment asks me to reconsider the relationship between time, body, and artistic production. Working through waiting, transformation, and attention is no longer only a conceptual choice, but a real condition of making, since I know Motherhood will reshape the way I work.

IN THE STUDIO
Studio activity is intense. As my due date approaches, I began organizing and advancing upcoming exhibitions early on. At the moment, I am fully focused on the installation for DG Kunstraum, a project that will involve special collaborations to be announced soon.
Glass professionals are supporting the production of the works, and I am collaborating with fermentation expert Christin Thomas, founder of ChirpFood, on the metabolic dimension of the piece. Flowers and fish will be fermented as part of the work, inviting visitors to experience the installation through taste, smell, and the body — a multisensory and safe encounter.

Drawing, text, photography, painting
These practices have never left my side; they are the way I understand and process the world around me. Will this be the year I finally show drawings, photographs, and more intimate works that usually remain hidden in my notebooks, used only as personal documentation and archive?
We will see...

Painting
After more than four years without painting, I have returned to it. Initially with hesitation, but quickly the process reminded me why painting was the practice I specialized in during my studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Madrid.
Painting was my first great love as an artist, and I am deeply happy to share some of the works through which I reconnect with this practice after such a long time.
